  There are magical enclaves that demand the best of each project. There are also buildings that manage to blend in perfectly with their surroundings, however spectacular they may be. The Hotel TUI Blue Don Pedro in Mallorca meets both requirements. And Cifre Cerámica has a lot to do with that.

  This hotel for adults is located in the beautiful Cala Sant Vicenç. The proximity of the Port of Pollença and the Cape of Formentor make it one of the most touristy places on the island. For this reason, the property decided to adapt the hotel to the new times with a complete refurbishment that was completed last summer.

Integrating the building into the landscape

One of the main objectives of the refurbishment project was to further integrate the building, located on the seafront, into the landscape. To this end, our Structure Almond model (in 60×120 size) has been the material chosen to clad the entire façade, in this case, clad with a hidden security clip.

Cifre Cerámica chose this material for two reasons. On the one hand, the natural textures of this Structure series help to integrate the building into a natural environment. On the other hand, due to its location, a porcelain tile was chosen that could withstand the weather conditions as well as erosion from the sea.

Challenge overcome

The project, both because of the location and the volume of the building itself – all the rooms have an outdoor balcony – has been a challenge. And at Cifre Cerámica we are very pleased to have contributed to overcoming this challenge.
